Three fast-growing sectors in Nicaragua are telecom, power generation and free zones. This year, the country expects investments in these areas, valued at close $600 million. This would be 20% more than in 2010, according to the ProNicaragua Agency.

These sectors were those that grew fastest in 2010, followed by tourism. The government also expects significant investment in port infrastructure.
