Nicaragua in negative U.S. transparency list

Nicaragua is one of 50 countries that lack fiscal transparency in a list published by the U.S. Department of State.

The Department said Nicaragua should make public the contracts of its state firms, as well as the amount of money it receives from Venezuela.

Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, Honduras and Colombia are among the Latin American countries that meet the department's fiscal transparency standards.
