Nicaragua names new board for state mining company

The government of Nicaragua has formed the board for the recently created state mining company Eniminas, which will be led by José Francisco López, a ministerial-level appointment. López is president of state oil company Petronic and treasurer of the ruling Frente Sandinista party.

The four-person board also includes private secretary for national politics of the presidency Paul Oquist and mining and energy minister Salvador Mansell. The private sector is represented by Eduardo Caldera May.
