Nicaragua plans for 50 percent increase in its coffee exports to Venezuela this year

Nicaragua expects to export 300,000 quintals of coffee, about 13,600 metric tons, to Venezuela this year.

The sales are part of an accord between the two governments that was signed in 2007.

Last year, Nicaragua exported 200,000 quintals of coffee to Venezuela. This year’s sales will be a 50 percent increase.
