Nicaragua plans to forge Beijing connection

Nicaragua is aiming to develop relations with mainland China, Javier Chamorro, head of the ProNicaragua investment promotion agency, said plans are afoot to establish closer relations with Beijing.
In September, a Nicaraguan delegation to promote tourism and trade will visit China. But the idea is to promote much bigger investments.
“We’re looking for Chinese companies to come to Nicaragua so they can check out the possibilities for major public works and energy projects,” said Chamorro.
