Nicaragua plans to revive cotton production to supply free-zone textile plants

Nicaragua is planning to revive its production of cotton, with assistance from Brazilian investors.

the intention is to provide cotton for the free-zone textile export plans of Nicaragua.

The plan is to sow some 2,000 hectares of cotton. The crop will be processed in plants that the textile companies will set up in western Nicaragua.
