Nicaragua's economy to rise with mega-projects

Nicaragua plans to develop its economy through a series of megaprojects.
These include t-he $1.1 billion Tumarín hydroelectric plant and the Supremo Sueño de Bolívar industrial complex, financed in part by Venezuela.
But the most ambitious project by far is the $40 billion inter-oceanic canal, which the Government expects will increase the country's formal employment numbers from 623,000 people to 1.9 million during construction.
