Nicaragua's exports slump in first quarter

Nicaragua’s exports in the first quarter came to $554 million, a 17.5 percent drop on the same period of last year.

The main problems are a drop in the value of sales to the United States, which accounts for about 40 percent of the total, and the collapse of the Venezuelan economy.
