Nicaragua’s exports start year with a 50 percent bang

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Nicaragua’s exports grew by 50 percent year-on-year in January, the government’s export agency reported.

Exports in January were $192 million, up from $128 million in the same month of last year.

The increase was mainly due to the high prices of Nicaragua’s leading export products, such as coffee, gold and beef.
