Nicaragua's free zone exports grow

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Nicaragua has exported goods worth $1.13 billion from its free trade zones in the first half of the year, the country's central bank said.

The figure is $130 million more than for the same period last year.

Growth was boosted by more production volumes and by the presence of new companies in the free trade zone, said Dean García, director of the Nicaraguan textile and garment industry association, Anitec.
