Nicaragua’s gold glitters with $291 million in exports

Nicaragua’s gold production and exports have risen this year both in volume and prices.

This year through October, gold exports came to $291 million, mainly to the United States and Canada. In value terms they set a record.
Gold is now the third leading export of Nicaragua, following coffee and beef.
