Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Nicaragua's sea ports have maintained steady growth over the past three years, according to a ranking published by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

According to the ranking, the Nicaraguan ports of Corinto, on the Pacific, and Arlen Siu El-Rama, on the Caribbean coast, grew 23 percent in 2011, compared to 2010.

Growth in Corinto was boosted by growing exports to Asian countries, according to Nicaragua's Superior Council of Private Enterprise.
