Nicaragua's private sector wants nation to make big changes

The Nicaraguan private sector issued a joint statement in order to set its agenda for the national dialogue that the government is calling following the recent severe outburst of political violence.

The statement demands an inquiry into the deaths in the recent protests that is both "independent and believable".

It also seeks the "reconstruction of the rule of law" in the country.
