Nicaragua’s textile industry sets all-time export high

Exports of products from Nicaragua’s textile and garment industries reached $272 million in this year’s first quarter.

This represents an increase of 23 percent in the same period of last year. It also is higher than in 2007, rated to be the best ever year for Nicaragua’s textile exports.

Nicaragua’s textile and garment sector is the fastest-growing in Central America.
