Nicaragua seeks to control Internet television

Nicaragua's telecoms regulator, Telcor, is seeking to control Internet television.

Media companies are allowed to have television channels online, but must ask for permission from Telcor, said director Orlando Castillo.

For Carlos Langrand, of the opposition party BDN, the move would be similar to Internet control in China.
