Nicaragua sees strong trade with Mexico

Bilateral trade between Mexico and Nicaragua could reach $1.52 billion by the end of 2014, according to Nicaragua Ministry for Industry and Trade.

In the first quarter alone, Nicaraguan exports to the world grew 6.7 percent compared with the same period last year.

After a free trade agreement with Mexico came into force in September 2012, Nicaragua's exports to that country have grown 308 percent.
