Nicaragua sells less to Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala

During this year, Nicaragua’s exports to the rest of the Central American countries has dropped sharply while sales to other markets have shown marked growth.
In 2008, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala bought 33 percent of Nicaragua’s total exports.
In 2009, the proportion dropped to 31 percent and so far this year it has stood at 22.5 percent.
