Nicaragua's tourism authority, Intur, has approved 27 projects worth $72.8 million so far this year.
"This means we are on the right track, we will surpass last year's $77.8 million," said Mayra Salinas, executive director of Intur.
She added that 10 of the 27 projects are hotels, adding 241 rooms to the country's total.
