Nicaragua taxman gives new boost to maquiladora assembly plants

As of February 1, the “maquiladora” assembly plants in the Nicaraguan free zones will have new privileges in addition to those they already enjoy.
The aim is to attract new investment, said José Adán Aguerri, leader of the nation’s private sector.
