Nicaraguan companies see more job cuts

The number of companies that expect to cut jobs over the next six months has grown, according to the most recent poll by the Nicaraguan Foundation for Economic and Social Development, Funides.

The July poll shows that 9 percent of businesses said they will cut jobs, up from the previous 6 percent in an April poll.

Also in the July poll, 11 percent of businesses said they are considering employing more people, while 80 percent said they will not make any changes.
