Nostalgia boosts demand for Central American food

Central American immigrants in the U.S. represent a potential market for the region's food and drink companies, Costa Rican daily La República reported.
In the past decade, U.S. imports of Central American products have grown almost 500 percent, according to Costa Rica's foreign trade promotion agency, Procomer.
Nostalgia for products is one of the strongest reasons the market has grown.
