Obama wants to sell gas to Central America, but can't

US President Barack Obama proposed the possibility of exporting liquefied natural gas to Central America.

The move would help Central America cut down its energy costs and help meet its increasing demand for energy.

However, some US business leaders opposed the idea, saying that large-scale gas exports would make prices shoot up in the United States.
