Oil price slump hits Mexican reform

Half of the blocks to be auctioned during Round One of Mexico’s oil reform are likely to be withdrawn because international oil prices have slumped, Mexican finance secretary Luis Videgaray said.

The blocks likely to be withdrawn are those with production costs that are likely to exceed international prices for the oil produced.
