Panama aims digital attack on world's top market for tourism
Panama has launched a digital offensive at, China, the world's biggest tourism market. According to the World Tourism Organization, by 2020, some 200 million Chinese nationals will be visiting other countries.
Panama's Tourism Authority has launched its VisitPanama application and its social networks in China with big hopes that reflect last year's decision to establish diplomatic relations with Beijing.
But not only are the world's largest group of outgoing nationals but also the most well-heeled. In 2016, Chinese tourists spent $261 billion overseas, 12 percent more than in the previous year.
