Panama aims to negotiate a trade agreement with Caribbean countries this year

Panama continues to strengthen its presence among the nations of the Caribbean. This year it hopes to reach a trade agreement with the region this year.

Talks will be held with Cuba, Barbados and Aruba said Diana Salazar, deputy minister for international trade agreements.

Panamanian exporters believe that they would work together with Caribbean countries in trade in fruit and seafood.
