Panama and China in talks on a maritime accord

Panama and China have launched talks on a maritime memorandum of understanding, said the Panama Maritime Authority.

Panama's Maritime affairs minister, Jorge Barakat highlighted his government's aim of sending Panamanian students to study in Chine, and c certification and recognition of ships' documents.

China's Transport minister Li Xiaopeng, said he hoped students from Panama would soon be studying at the Dalian Maritime University in Chine.
