Panama and Venezuela look to settle debt

Panama and Venezuela will start talks today concerning an ongoing debt Venezuelan companies have with the Colón Free Trade Zone.

The director of the zone, Leopoldo Benedetti, said the debt now stands at $1.2 billion.

The first round of talks will establish how Venezuela will repay its debt, according to an official statement.
