Panama appeal against ruling is stalling Odebrecht probe

An Appeal against a court decision that prompted protests by civil and business groups and trade unions was lodged with Panama’s Supreme Court on Tuesday by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of the Odebrecht bribery case.

The Twelfth Criminal Court that refused to allow extra time term to complete the inquiries involving 63 suspects including the two sons of former president Ricardo Martinelli members of his administration, and business associates.
