Panama approves $2.4 billion budget for Canal

Panamanian authorities approved a $2.41 billion budget for the Panama Canal.

The budget is for the fiscal year running from October 1 this year, to September 30, 2015.

"The budget is based on calculations of income from Canal usage fees, as well as other aspects such as energy production, the Canal administration said.
