Panama blasts back at French tax haven attacks
Monday, November 28, 2011
Attacks on Panama by some of the top guns of the G-20 has brought a furious reaction from the government which has cut off a multi million dollar deal with a French bank.
The government has cancelled a loan agreement with the French export insurer Coface. The $298 million loan was for the construction of the new Metro.
This measure is a reaction to the fact that France still considers Panama as a tax haven.
