Panama business leaders seek new look for economy

Panama has been the Latin American leader of economic growth for years. Now, however, business leaders and top economists have began to criticize the economic model.
The current success is based on financial services, logistics and, of course, the Canal.
Now, groups such as the Sindicato de Industriales and the Chamber of Commerce are calling for more small-scale commerce, tourism and construction in order to create jobs.
