Panama Canal builders lack cash to finish the job

The lack of liquidity of Grupo Unidos por el Canal, the consortium building the new locks for the Panama Canal expansion, could become a new obstacle for the final stage, says one of the consortium’s members.

He warned that the members "only have about $45 million in our bank account, while the debt to suppliers and subcontractors has increased from $160 million to $200 million."
