Panama Canal cuts out paperwork and red tape

Panama will debut next week a new online portal which it says will reduce paperwork for shipping companies going through the Canal.

The Maritime Single Window, which goes by Spanish acronym VUMPA, will "simplify and reduce paperwork procedures required for international vessels arriving and departing Panama," the Panama Maritime Authority said.
