Panama Canal to invest $835 million next year

The Panama Canal Authority will invest $835 million in the 2013 fiscal year.

Of that, $690 million will be for routine investment and the rest for the upgrading.

Not in the budget are projects such as a new Atlantic bridge at a cost of $277 million; bids for the bridge are to be invited soon.
