Panama coffee succeeds in Japan

Monday, October 6, 2014

Panamanian gourmet coffee producers made business transactions of up to $400,000 during their participation at Japan's largest coffee fair.

"The results were very productive, we established 50 business contacts and 10 confirmed purchases of more than 10,000 pounds of coffee, worth $400,000," said Nestor Gonález, Panama's vice minister of Foreign Trade.

"Fairs are a great window for trade, as well as for establishing ties between businesses and buyers," said Melitón Arrocha, Minister for Trade and Industry.
