Panama comes top in Central America of World Bank 'Doing Business 2012' list

The Ease of Doing Business 2012 report and list comparing 183 countries was released by The World Bank in a co-publication with The International Finance Corporation.

Costa Rica ranked number 121 of the 183 countries listed, exactly the same ranking as in 2011.

Only Honduras at 128 ranked below Costa Rica of the Central American countries. Nicaragua came in at 118, El Salvador is 112, Guatemala at 97, and Panama at 61 on the list.
