Panama Diamond Exchange to create 3,000 jobs

The new Panama Diamond Exchange will begin operations at the end of this month and is set to create some 3,000 jobs, said communication specialist Steven Benson.

The exchange is expected to account for 3 percent of the country's gross domestic product.

Among the professions the exchange will require are gemologists, gemstone identifiers and jewellery designers.
