Panama foreign minister meets with Canadian counterpart on trade agreement

Panama's Foreign Minister Roberto Henríquez met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Americas and Canada''s Consular Affairs, Diane Ablonczy, to coordinate actions to strengthen the diplomatic, commercial, and cultural bilateral relations.

Panama is very interested in the cooperation with Canada, not only in the field of trade, but also in the technical, scientific and cultural fields, said Henriquez.

Ablonczy congratulated Panama for its economic growth and said that the free trade agreement between the two governments is likely to be ratified by February by the legislative body of Canada.
