Panama gas-powered generation gains

The buildout of Panama’s natural gas-fired power generation park is set to gain traction after legal clouds seem to have cleared regarding dispatch of a planned 400MW-plus plant in Colón province.

Public services regulator Asep has ordered state power transmission company Etesa to grant temporary connection feasibility to Sinolam Smarter Energy LNG Power for the 441MW Gas to Power Panama project which is scheduled to enter service in November 2020, BN Americas reports.
