Friday, September 17, 2010

Growth of Panama’s economy could rise to 7 percent this year, predicted the economy minister, Alberto Vallarino.

Vallarino said the economy “is accelerating rapidly following the downturn in 2009 caused by the world economic crisis.

The minister earlier announced that Panama’s gross domestic product grew by 6.1 percent in the first half of this year, compared with the same period of 2009.

Growth will be even stronger in the second half of this year, Vallarino added.
