Panama health budget at $2.1 billion next year

Officials with Panama’s Ministry of Health outlined the proposed $2.1 billion spending plan for 2017 before the National Assembly's Budget Commission.

According to Minister of Health Miguel Mayo, $301.3 million will go to six hospital boards across the country, and that the National Cancer Institute and José Domingo de Obaldía and Santo Tomás hospitals will receive a "significant increase for operations."
