Panama: Hospital City

Panama`s Hospital City will need subcontractors in various areas. Last week the country's Social Security service, responsible for public health care, awarded a contract worth 440 million euros ($586 million) to Spain's FCC, for planning, design, construction and equipment-supply. The turn-key project, located in the west side of the capital, consists of 32 hectares of land and 200,000 square meters of construction, including 49 operating rooms and more than 1,700 beds, and will be delivered to the Social Security service 36 months after the start of construction.
