Panama invites bids for $120 million convention center on $157 million prime site

The government of Panama will invite bids next month for the construction of a huge convention center on the banks of the Panama Canal. Work has to be completed by the beginning of 2014.

The site of the new center will be 13 hectares of the Amador tourism area, valued a $157 million.

Construction is expected to require an investment of $120 million.
