Panama is facing a crisis in energy. Water in hydro dams is at very low levels.
In addition, two thermal plants that have a combined capacity of 180 megawatts are out of operation for repairs.
Gabriel Díez, president of the main private-sector organization, called on companies to save energy until the crisis is resolved.
