Panama is 'regional cornerstone of China's Silk Road'

Panama could become the entrance in Latin America to China's modern version of the ancient Silk Road network of trade routes, said Eddie Tapiero, an economist who specializes in competitive intelligence.

"The Silk Road offers opportunities on both the Atlantic and the Pacific," he said.
