Panama lands counter-punch in $5.4 billion Canal dispute

The Panama Canal Authority is once again embroiled in a legal battle with the consortium that built the new locks for the Canal’s expansion.

The consortium, led by Spain’s Sacyr is seeking $5.4 billion in overruns for its contract. But the Authority says that nothing is owed.
