Panama launches ecotourism plan

Panama's tourism authority has launched a plan to promote nature walks and tours of its coffee farms to boost the number of visitors for this year.

The aim for the this year is to receive 1.8 million tourists, the director of the tourism authority Jesús Sierra said.

The plan includes tours to see wildlife such as birds and whales, as well as routes to the coffee-growing regions of Chiriquí.
