Panama launches second phase of $27,4 million project to improve David air terminal

Argentine company Riva is about to begin the second phase of a project to renovate and extend the David airport in Panama.
 
The new phase includes repairs to the landing strip, which will be reinforced to be able to handle planes with up to 240 passengers. That aspect of the work should be concluded by mid-December.
 
The whole project is going well, say the authorities. Its total cost is rated at $27.4 million.
