Panama leads chocolate consumption in region

Panamanians consume 650 grams of chocolate each year, five times the Central American average.
Each year, consumption of cocoa-based products grows between 20 and 30 percent in Panama.
Panama accounts for 30 percent of sales for Mars in the region, the company that makes M&M's, Snickers and Milky Way, among others.
