Panama leads Latin America in growth projection

Panama continues to lead Latin America in growth projections with the UN Economic Commission for the region, raising its previous forecast for 2017 to 5.6 percent.

The projection for the region as a whole is 1.1 percent boosted by the moderate recovery of the world economy, a slight rebound in trade and a higher price level of commodities.
